Senior Project Manager (Exempt) | Kansas City

Reports To: NNSA Director of Facilities

Basic Function: Perform design review, project management and accounting for review of government projects at NNSA National Security Campus with particular concern for impact to existing building and systems.

Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in engineering or architecture. Must have 5-10 years of design, construction, or project management  experience with a general understanding of the design and construction process and construction documents with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical, and building systems. An architectural or engineering license or experience in property and facility management is preferred. Other leadership and management credentials or experience in property management, economic development or governmental/public sector roles would be considered advantageous.

Specific Skills Required: Self-directed and capable of prioritizing a variety of projects and  activities. Must be familiar with the use of Microsoft (MS) Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn other programs such as MS Project. Excellent analytical, communication skills and familiarity with project accounting, invoicing and project budgets and schedules. Familiarity with elements of asset and property management including insurance, alterations, vendor selection, contracts, budgets, and procedures is an advantage.

 


Real Estate Staff Accountant (Exempt) | Kansas City

Reports To: VP/Director of Accounting Services

Basic Function: Provide professional accounting services which involve the application of established, accounting principles, theories, and concepts.  Maintain confidential accounting records of various assigned entities on a daily basis and prepare monthly or quarterly financial statements.  Assist with operational duties within the Accounting Services division.

Experience/Education: BS in Business with a Major in Accounting. Experience in commercial property management accounting preferred.

Specific Skills Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage Software, and Yardi System.  Must be able to juggle multiple tasks, detect and reconcile mistakes, and adapt pace to complete the required amount of work.

 


Development Management Intern – Summer 2023 | Kansas City

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development management staff with presentations, proposals, reports, research and other deliverables.
  • Act as a liaison to City Planning for permit tracking.
  • Review available RFP opportunities for NZ consideration.
  • Shadow team on inspections, tours, meetings, etc. where appropriate.
  • Special projects as directed.
  • Spend time with other NZ divisions learning the basics of commercial real estate.
  • Track and report local and regional activity, e.g., economy, development, construction, that affect the local real estate market.
  • Become a team player within NZ and attend NZ corporate functions and NZ Development Management Division meetings.

Experience/Education: College degree or current college student in Planning, Architecture or similar field.

Specific Skills Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; energetic with ability to work independently; detail-oriented and highly organized; strong written and verbal communicative skills; and the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.

Job Requirements:A current valid driver’s license is required along with not less than statutory insurance coverage and a driving record that indicates consistent responsible operation of a motor vehicle.


Marketing Specialist | St. Louis

Basic Function: The Marketing Specialist in collaboration with the Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and administration of various marketing initiatives, including day-to-day implementation of listing administration, social media, research, and special events, while at the same time developing and implementing a creative, thoughtful, and strategic marketing program designed to achieve market recognition and in support of all new business development efforts.  Day-to-day responsibilities focus largely on the development of sales support including marketing materials for new business pitches and RFP responses. Create proposals, offering packages, presentation boards, and PowerPoint presentations. Ensure Newmark Zimmer (NZ) differentiators are communicated effectively in all materials.

Experience/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related discipline with 4+ years related work experience.  Experience managing creative projects and familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within marketing, advertising and real estate is critical.  Must have outstanding organizational and time management skills.   Experience in a design/ad agency environment and project management is a plus.

Specific Skills Required: Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice; highly motivated and strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks, deadlines, and high priority projects; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  The Marketing Specialist must also be fluent in software applications including MS Office Suite, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Campaign Breeze.  Internet research skills and advanced knowledge of scanners, color printers, and digital cameras are also required.
