Kansas City, MO (November 7, 2023) — Newmark Zimmer is pleased to announce the 34,000 square foot build-to-suit on behalf of the first tenant within MetroEast Commerce Center, located in Independence, Missouri. The building, which has broken ground and is scheduled to be delivered in fall 2024, offers a state-of-the-art design to serve one of the region’s most active medical transport companies.
“MetroEast Commerce Center is a perfect complement to the development of nearby large-scale logistics buildings in Independence as it is designed to provide sites and buildings that fit more of a small to midsized light industrial user within the dynamic location that Independence provides,” said John F. Hassler, Executive Managing Director with Newmark Zimmer.
MetroEast Commerce Center is located on 60 (±) acres to the north of E RD Mize Road and Jackson Drive and offers vertical ready sites to accommodate mid-sized light industrial and flex building users. Additionally, the park is situated in a business-friendly community near labor, amenities, and strategic transportation routes.
“This project signifies a major step forward in expanding the city’s industrial inventory and underscores the development group’s commitment to delivering high-quality building solutions,” said Jeremy Hull, President with Hulmark Construction.
John F. Hassler with Newmark Zimmer handled lease negotiations of the transaction and is marketing sites within the park on behalf of the developer. Hullmark Construction is providing park infrastructure and building construction services.
