Scott Bluhm

Scott Bluhm joined Newmark Zimmer in 2012 and currently serves as Executive Managing Director in the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri office. His primary responsibilities include the sale and leasing of industrial properties throughout the Kansas City region, as well as national tenant representation across all commercial property types throughout the United States.

As a leader of the firm’s industrial leasing team, Scott specializes in Class A speculative industrial developments while also representing occupiers, investors, and owners in acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing assignments. He is recognized for his comprehensive knowledge of the Kansas City industrial market, including ownership, tenancy, lease expirations, comparable transactions, and market trends. In addition, Scott has extensive experience advising clients on land acquisition and site selection for industrial development projects.

Scott is an active member of SIOR and NAIOP. He currently serves as Membership Chair for the local SIOR chapter and chaired SIOR Development Day in 2024. In 2025, he played a leading role in reestablishing the local NAIOP chapter and currently serves as a Board Member At Large. That same year, Scott was recognized as the RE Journals Kansas City Broker of the Year for his outstanding transaction volume and contributions to the Kansas City commercial real estate market.  Scott grew up in Kansas City, attended Rockhurst High School, and received his undergraduate degree from Miami University (OH) in 2011.
