Discovery Park Lee’s Summit

Discovery Park Lee’s Summit represents a major mixed-use development designed to seamlessly integrate living, working, and recreational spaces in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Spanning approximately 268 acres, this expansive project will feature 2,791 residential units, a variety of retail stores, an array of restaurants, office spaces, and two hotels.

Located strategically between NE Colbern Road, NE Douglas Street, and I-470, Discovery Park Lee’s Summit provides prime locations for retail, office, and pad sites, with sizes ranging from 1,500 to 25,000 square feet. As a result, the development offers flexibility and opportunities for various businesses. Construction for the first phase, known as “The Village,” began in Fall 2023. This initial phase will include over 80,000 square feet of commercial, office, retail, and restaurant space. Additionally, it will introduce nearly 590 apartment units, an athletic club, and several businesses, thereby establishing a vibrant community hub.

Looking ahead, the second phase, “Discovery Crossing,” is scheduled to begin construction in late 2024. This phase will focus on creating a retail center within the park, encompassing approximately 90,000 square feet of commercial lease space. The center will accommodate grocery stores, convenience stores, retail shops, and dining options, thereby enhancing the park’s appeal and functionality.

Furthermore, the third phase, “Promenade,” will also start site work in 2024. This phase will emphasize entertainment and include additional apartments, hotels, retail spaces, and dining options. By combining these diverse elements, Discovery Park aims to offer a dynamic and engaging environment that meets the varied needs of its community while providing a vibrant, well-rounded experience for all.
